This Daytona was first sold by Luigi sport cars on August 28th to Robert Grace of Los Angeles Cal In the next Two years the car accumulated 19,000 miles On October 17, 1974 the car was sold to Vernon Davis of Santa Ana Cal.Mr. Davis replaced the original tires on the car @ 21,814 miles on November 16 1976.Mr. Davis owned the car 28 years. During that time the car accumulated 6847 miles. The car was stored in the Davis's aircraft hanger until the car was sold on October 11 2002 with 25847 original miles to Richard Thompson of Newport Beach Calif On September 8 2003 the car was sold to Gary Brutsch of Hermosa Beach Cal with 26091 actual miles. This car has undergone total mechanical restoration including engine rebuild, transaxle rebuild, all new suspension, new exhaust, brake system, etc., All work done by Bill Badurski, Technical Chairman-FCA. Engine upgraded using P6 cams, high compression piston, and cylinder head mods using flow bench. Euro headers installed. We modified the heads. The results are: 351 Foot pounds of torque @ 4500 R.P.M. and 410 H.P. @ 6800 R.P.M. On October 2, 2005 this Daytona received a 2nd in class award at the 23rd annual Newport Concours d'Elegance.
